Let's Make a Blanket of Love for our Tina!

Hi Everyone, it's me Jeanette. I do work with our local Project Linus group which makes hand made blankets for local children who need a "HUG". Well when I saw that Tina's son Josh was sick I instantly wished that I could do more for her than just pray a whole lot and I said to myself what about a blanket from the Love2Knit_Dishcloth gals!

I sent Kim an e-mail and she thought that it would be a great thing to show Tina how much we love and care about her and her family.

So, any and all of our group members who would like to donate a square or two of your choice towards a blanket for Tina's son Josh your donation(s) will be greatly appreciated.

I think that if we could do maybe 5 inch squares, or as close to 5 inches as possible (I can always fill in) then we could give her a nice sized blanket.

I'm thinking worsted weight yarn, but something that can be put into the washer and dryer. If she gives the blanket to her son you know how boys are they put EVERYTHING into the washer and dryer.

I would like to get started sewing all the squares together by the end of August which means that you will all need to get those squares into the mail by no later than lets say August 18th. That gives you the rest of this week and 2 more weeks to get your squares done.

And for the new knitters don't worry if you are running a little late, just let me know so that I can allow space for your square.

Also I am thinking BRIGHT colors. After all this blanket is suppose to cheer the family up! Okay, maybe even some PASTEL colors, but definitely NO DARK colors.
If you need help let me know.

To keep the "traffic" down on the site e-mails feel free to e-mail me off list.

Send your squares to me at:

I want to thank you all in advance for doing this for Tina, Josh and her family.

Happy knitting,
Jeanette
